GymLogger Privacy Policy

Effective 22 August 2026 · GymLogger for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch · Divith Technologies

Short version: GymLogger has no developer account system, advertising or third-party analytics. Divith Technologies does not operate a server that receives your workouts. Ordinary workout/planning data can optionally mirror through your private iCloud database. Health/profile data, body measurements and progress photos stay local.

1. Scope and controller

This policy applies only to GymLogger. It does not describe the Divith Technologies website or Route Foundry. Divith Technologies, Kumta, Karnataka, India, is responsible for GymLogger and for support messages you choose to send.

2. What GymLogger stores

3. Apple Health and HealthKit

Health integration is optional. GymLogger requests system permission for specific health and fitness types used to record workouts or calculate recovery, readiness, sleep, vitals and training-load context. Apple lets you grant or deny each type and change access in system settings.

  • Health data is used only for health and fitness functionality visible to you.
  • GymLogger does not use Health data for advertising, marketing, tracking or sale.
  • HealthKit-derived daily summaries are stored locally and excluded from the CloudKit model configuration.
  • Scores are estimates, not diagnosis or medical advice.

Records written to Apple Health are controlled through Apple’s Health app and privacy settings. Deleting GymLogger does not necessarily delete records already written to HealthKit.

4. Optional private iCloud sync

GymLogger can use Apple’s private CloudKit database to mirror ordinary workout and planning records between your devices. The database belongs to your Apple Account and is operated by Apple. Divith Technologies has no dashboard or backend that can browse your private records. The app falls back to local operation when iCloud is signed out or unavailable.

Excluded: the health/training profile (including injury notes, birth year, biological sex and max heart rate), body measurements, HealthKit-derived summaries, and progress-photo files and metadata.

5. StoreKit purchases and trial protection

Apple processes the free trial marker, Lifetime Unlock, taxes, payment method, refunds and Family Sharing. We do not receive your card or Apple Account credentials. GymLogger reads Apple-signed transaction information on the device to determine access.

A zero-price non-consumable marks the 30-day trial against the App Store account, and a non-identifying Keychain date protects the trial when StoreKit is temporarily unavailable. The Keychain anchor intentionally survives app deletion so reinstalling does not create another trial.

6. Imports, exports, photos and sharing

GymLogger accesses a file, photo or share destination only after you choose it through an Apple system picker or share sheet. Exported files and share cards then exist wherever you sent or saved them, under that destination’s privacy terms.

The JSON Workout Backup is intentionally limited to workout history, sets and custom exercises. It does not contain routines, programs, profiles, measurements, goals, Health summaries or photo image files.

7. Notifications, diagnostics and third-party code

Rest reminders and app notifications are scheduled through Apple’s local notification system. GymLogger contains no advertising SDK and its analytics service is disabled/no-op. Diagnostic logging is designed to avoid workout and Health payloads; nothing is automatically uploaded to Divith Technologies.

GymLogger uses MuscleMap, an open-source SwiftUI library for body diagrams. It does not add a network service. Apple frameworks including StoreKit, HealthKit and CloudKit remain subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy.

8. Support email

If you email us, we receive your address, message and attachments. This is optional and separate from app operation. Send the minimum information needed and redact Health values, progress photos and workout notes. We use it to answer the request, investigate defects, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations; we do not add support contacts to marketing lists.

9. Deletion and retention

  • In-app data: use Delete All My Data in Settings. Deletions of mirrored records propagate to private iCloud when it is available.
  • Apple Health: manage GymLogger permissions and records in Apple’s Health/settings interfaces.
  • Exports: delete copies from each destination yourself.
  • Trial anchor: remains in Keychain for anti-abuse and contains only the trial timing marker.
  • Support email: retained only as long as reasonably needed for the request, security, dispute or legal record, then deleted under our normal mailbox process.

10. Security and transfers

GymLogger relies on Apple platform protections, app sandboxing, encrypted device storage where provided, Keychain, HealthKit permissions and private CloudKit access controls. No system is absolutely secure. Support email can be processed by service providers in other countries under their applicable safeguards.

11. Children

GymLogger is not directed to children and does not knowingly operate a service that collects children’s personal data. Strength training should be supervised appropriately for the user’s age and circumstances. A parent or guardian who believes a child sent us personal information can request deletion.

12. Changes

Material changes will be dated here and reflected in the app or App Store information where appropriate. The policy applying to a particular release describes that release’s behavior.
